THE USAAF
The United States Army Air Force (USAAF) was the aviation arm of the United States Army during WWII. Up until 1941 it was originally known as the Army Air Corps.

With the likelihood of participation in WWII, the aviation branch was forced into a radical reorganisation, which resulted in total autonomy in March 1942.

As a result of its growth during WWII, the USAAF became the world's largest and most powerful air force. It grew from the 1939 Air Corps of 20,000 men and 2,320 planes to the autonomous USAAF of 1944, with personnel of almost 2.4 million and around 80,000 aircraft.

B24 LIBERATOR!
As you can see, the B24 Liberator is our favourite plane/bomber, hence B24FLAK. We just love the shape and look of it, it's quite ugly and lacking of the nice lines of say the Spitfire, but call us weird, we LOVE IT!

THE PLANES WE LIKE, SO FAR...
Others that are currently in the works are the B25, the Kitty Hawk, Thunderbolt, Mustang... we could really go on!

IF THE USAAF'S NOT FOR YOU...
