1935, Hermann Goring is ordered to reinstate the Luftwaffe by Adolf Hitler,
and thus break the Treaty of Versaille - since Germany had been banned from
having an airforce.
The new air force was to be run totally separately from the army, however, it still retained the army ranking system for its officers and airmen.

Just
of note is that the Nazi Party swastika marking on the tailplane has been
removed from our designs, as a sign of respect to those who may hold offence.
We know that this makes our designs historically inaccurate, but we hope you
can understand our rationale.
